I certainly enjoy coke. As a matter of fact, I might be addicted to coca cola, as i have always said if it came down to quitting it or smoking, I would quit smoking. I'm drinking one right now! -- Submitted By: (Jp) on July 13, 2011, 1:52 pm - (0 votes)

I reread the posts and conclude that I believe shanequia because she conducted the experiment with the hot dog herself and was relating her own conclusions via her observations as a good scientist is supposed to do! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on October 7, 2009, 7:38 am - (0 votes)

quimbyt,
I can't say whether it's true or not about it dissolving a hot dog but I can tell you it CAN dissolve a scoop of ice cream into mere froth in a matter of minutes- and ice cream's a kind of food! In any case, a secret recipe which includes an excess amount of syrup mixed with carbonated water isn't something the human body really needs.
All the above said, though, I hope anyone reading this who travels to the Atlanta area gets a chance to go to the Coca Cola Exhibit which details the company's take of the history of the drink and how it became one of the first commercial products to be mass marketted to world wide distribution. Quite fascinating! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on October 7, 2009, 7:35 am - (0 votes)

To the person who thinks Coke will dissolve a hot dog you lied never happened. Coke is incapable of dissolving any kind of food. -- Submitted By: (quimbyt) on October 6, 2009, 10:20 pm - (0 votes)

When i was a little girl in school our teacher tell us not to drink Coke cause it rot your stomache. we try an experiment with a hotdog in a mason jar filled with coke and it rot the hotdog over night. I never drank a Coke after that day in my entire life. I think Coke like Drain-O. Next time you get a sink clog you just pour some Coke down it and see if it dont open right up. -- Submitted By: (shanequia) on September 16, 2009, 10:09 am - (0 votes)

They dropped the biggest bollock ever when they tried to launch Dasani water in the UK. The papers soon had them on the run once they found out it was just purified tap water (like in the 'only fools and horses' episode where Del tries to sell bottled tap water), then once it got out that their purification process produced bromate, it was all over. They left with tail between legs and have never tried to relaunch it since! -- Submitted By: (ronster500) on August 3, 2009, 6:01 pm - (0 votes)

What, does Coke think we all have a sense of taste as bad as a smoker's? I sure as hell can taste the differences between cola products. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on June 1, 2009, 12:58 pm - (0 votes)

Having chosen to give up drinking Coke recently, the New Coke fiasco left a legacy of inferior product. The company maintains that no one can distinguish between the current formula and previous iterations. This is a load of rubbish. One need only taste kosher Coca-Cola to refute their assertion. -- Submitted By: (johbru) on May 24, 2009, 8:55 am - (0 votes)
