Music Groups - Smashing Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins are an American alternative rock band that formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1988. Founded by Billy Corgan (vocals/guitar) and James Iha (guitar/backing vocals), the band has included D'arcy Wretzky (bass guitar/backing vocals), Jimmy Chamberlin (drums/percussion), and Melissa Auf der Maur (bass guitar) among its membership.

I'm going to have say it was Corgan's pretentiousness that was a major Bone. He once said, and I'm paraphrasing, that he wanted to be ahead of his time. You don't get to decide that Billy. Well that and the crappy Adore album. You're not in an industrial/techno band. And why would you follow Mellon Collie with that garbage. Sad thing is, I use to like them back in the day.
