Music Groups - Erasure
Erasure are an English synthpop duo formed by songwriter and keyboardist Vince Clarke and singer Andy Bell in 1985. It was the third successful pop group co-formed by Clarke (Depeche Mode and Yazoo being the first two). Erasure, labeled "the definitive synthpop superstars", have released twenty-four consecutive Top 20 hits in the United Kingdom and sold 25 million albums worldwide. The band also enjoys popularity within the GLBT community, with openly gay Andy Bell being regarded a gay icon.

Erasure are at their best playing live, and they are still as good now as they were when they started, over 23 years ago. Okay, they have never been 'COOL', but they have never pretended to be. Commercially, they probably peaked with the CHORUS album and the ABBA EP - they never achieved the same heights again. But even though they are well out of the spotlight now, they continue to produce good albums and perform superb concerts.
Did they bone with their self-titled concept album 'ERASURE'?
