Def Leppard (who made me wish I WAS deaf in the late 80s) followed the career path of so many other 80s rock bands. First album rocks, even though apparently nobody knows about it. Second album has some songs that still rock but also some ballads and this album becomes so popular most people think it's their first. Third album on is nothing but ballad badness. Rinse, lather, repeat. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on April 14, 2010, 10:30 pm - (0 votes)

Their name was a generic rip-off of Led Zeppelin without the cool back-story. Their music was equally as generic. Yes, the one armed drummer impressed many, but with songs as simple to play as many as they wrote, it's not that huge a feat, all things considered. -- Submitted By: (Shiddy_Smell) on April 6, 2010, 11:20 am - (0 votes)

I don't think the guys ever boned. They sure had a streak of bad luck with their drummer losing his arm and their guitarist dying. The drummer came back as good as ever with one arm and they replaced the guitarist. They faded a bit in the late 90's but their latest album, Songs From The Stardust Lounge, absolutely rocked. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on May 3, 2009, 7:57 pm - (0 votes)
