TV Shows - Moment of Truth (U.S.)

The Moment of Truth is a reality game show based on the Colombian game show, "Nada mas que la verdad", which translates to Nothing More than the Truth. Contestants are connected to a polygraph, or lie detector, and asked questions which become more and more personal as the jackpot increases. If they answer a question truthfully, they go to the next question. However, as soon as they answer a question untruthfully, the game is over. A contestant may choose to stop playing at any time before any questions are asked. The Moment of Truth premiered January 23, 2008 on Fox.

1 When you want the trashiest of game shows, who else to go to but Fox. A sickening show, and if any of my loved ones would even think of being on this show, I would hope the entire family would treat them like the black sheep they are. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 4, 2009, 5:05 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 The Colombian version of this show, from what I heard on the old Scottish site, asked a woman in the hot seat if she hired a hitman to kill her husband. She answered yes. What is wrong with the world? -- Submitted By: (Robert) on October 9, 2009, 12:45 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 This show is vile, low and disgusting but as long as the ratings are high... -- Submitted By: (kitchenbreak) on May 22, 2009, 6:06 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
4 Ah, the Moment of Truth. How low can you go? Apparently, it seems that humankind can never go low enough. The contestants who choose to enter this show and wind up being humiliated and embarrassed don't deserve sympathy. They are idiots who deserve everything they get. The only people who deserve sympathy are the people who the contestants humilate and ruin with their heartbreaking confessions and secrets. And I still think the lie detectors are rigged. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 7, 2009, 1:14 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
