Websites - Hampsterdance.com

Hampsterdance.com featured hamsters dancing to a sped up sample of the song, "Whistle Stop", from Disney's Robin Hood. The name is intentionally spelled with a p, because one of the hamsters is named Hampton.

1 I recall this as being one of the first Internet "fads" back in the early 2000s... it was funny the first time maybe, but like most of these internet fads, it was blown way out of proportion and most people got sick of it really fast. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on December 17, 2010, 4:26 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 At first, it was amusing, seeing hamsters dancing to a song where the singer sounds like he's on helium. It was even funnier to learn it was the opening song from Robin Hood, sped up (we wondered when Disney would go after them). Then, the site was shut down (we had a gut feeling Disney was behind it) and we were rerouted to hampsterdance knockoffs, most of which were under construction. Hampsterdance eventually came back, and they changed it. More time passes. Hampsterdance did not age well. At all. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on December 17, 2010, 8:31 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
