TV Shows - What's Happening!!
What's Happening!! is an American television sitcom that aired on ABC from August 5, 1976 to April 28, 1979. The show premiered in August 1976 as a summer series. What's Happening!! was loosely based on the motion picture Cooley High also written by Eric Monte.

I remember on the original Jump the Shark website (before it was ruined by TV Guide) people claimed What's Happening jumped because they found it ridiculous that black teenagers would addend a Doobie Brothers concert. It was okay but I didn't like how they got rid of Mama with her just leaving Raj and Dee for no real reason given. And to leave them with Shirley?! I love this show. Me and Noina watch this all the time. We love that Dee cause she say the funniest things. After she say them, she looks like she gonna crack a smile, but she never do.
