2 Mayby, but it isn't the math alone...I think, it got too focussed on the characters. Not that a little bit characterdevelopment is a bad thing, but at the beginning, it was mostly about Charlie and Don, with the occasional episode about the problems of the site characters. Now in one episode nearly each character and his problems get featured at last for a couple of minutes...considering that the show has a lot of site characters, this makes at least 25 minutes just for character development, sometimes even more....there isn't much time left for solving the case. -- Submitted By: (Swanpride) on November 12, 2009, 6:00 am - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
3 I think they've drifted from the original concept - the math stuff is just kinda thrown in on the side, and isn't as central to solving the case. What's left is a basic action crime-drama, a step up from CSI:Miami. Maybe they're running out of original things to do with strictly "math" because Charlie seems to have gone from being a math genius to also being a chemist, physicist, and an engineer. Just throw in some knowledge of obscure dialects of native Pacific Islanders and he'll be approaching the Professor from Gilligan's Island. -- Submitted By: (RobertM) on November 11, 2009, 10:48 pm - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
4 It pains me to write this, but at the moment, Numb3rs is really on the fast track of boning. If the actual Season doesn't get any better FAST I am out of there. It was bad enough when in the last season Megan and Mildred suddenly vanished...I had hoped that at least Diana Farr (Yes, I liked her character!) would return after a baby break, but nooooo, instead we get to see more and more of this annoying Nikki - I really hate this character! But characters aside, the actual season bones plotwise in nearly every episode. First Larry is going...again! This used to be an interesting character, but I am really getting tired hearing him whining about his place in the world...one season with this crap was enough, I really didn't need a repetition of this drivel. And now...when became Numb3rs a mix of overhyped urban legends and x-Files? The last episode with the Ufos and the strange Goverment agent was simply painful to watch. -- Submitted By: (Swanpride) on November 4, 2009, 4:49 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
