The Legend of Zelda is an adventure series of video game created by Nintendo. Characters include the hero Link, the princess Zelda, the villain Ganon, and Ganon's fleet of monsters. In the very first game for the NES, Ganon has stolen the Triforce of power (one of the three relics which bestows powers onto its bearer) and kidnapped Zelda. Link must find and unite the 8 pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom and defeat Ganon in order to save her. The game has had many sequels, including Link's Adventure, A Link the the Past, and Ocarina of Time.

1 I love this series, Wind Waker was great and innovative, I liked the sailing parts. If you want a bad zelda, play Spirit Tracks, not that its bad, but its the least fun one to play. -- Submitted By: (Mr.Zimpy) on January 2, 2011, 6:10 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 :( I liked Wind Waker. It's definitely different from the other games in the Zelda series, but despite its problems (too few dungeons, limited areas to explore, no real background stories on the characters, etc.), I enjoyed it. The soundtrack was nice. I agree that collecting the Triforce pieces was a chore; they should have had you enter dungeons to collect them, since it would have been a terrific homage to the first game. It would have also been more exciting than going to a glowing area over the water, making sure your boat is RIGHT ON TOP, using the claw to grab the underwater treasure chest, miss it, then turn around and try again until you finally get it. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on August 4, 2009, 12:50 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 The Zelda series is one of the best series, hands-down, probably Nintendo's best-quality work. It has been the most consistent over the years with hard a mis-step, A Link to the Past being one of the greatest game achievements ever. My Fishbone to pick is with Wind Waker. Initially they released a teaser trailer with amazing realistic-looking graphics, in the vein (but a vast improvement) of Ocarina/Majora, even more so. Then, they did a complete 180 and released the cel-shaded, quirky Wind Waker. It was cute, almost too cute. But that wasn't the problem. The problems lay first of all in the story, full of holes and poorly thought out twists. Second, and perhaps worst of all, was in the game's adventure progression. The first two acts actually really build up well, and then it's all destroyed with the completely unnecessary third act where you have to sail around for-what-seems-like-ever collecting Triforce pieces from the bottom of the ocean. Awful, awful, awful. Poorly, poorly thought out. -- Submitted By: (SamuraiPanda201) on July 22, 2009, 6:15 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
