TV Shows - Scrubs

The show focuses on the lives of several people working at Sacred Heart, a teaching hospital. It features fast-paced dialogue, slapstick, and surreal vignettes presented mostly as the daydreams of the central character, Dr. John Michael "J.D." Dorian.

I'd have to say after season 4, when JD moved out of the apartment. It wasn't a huge jump, mind you, but more of a peaking, the point after which it was never as good. The biggest drop in quality was obviously Season 9, but I voted for Season 5 because that's the first time quality started going down. -- Submitted By: (Mithrandir) on February 20, 2013, 2:12 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
See? A TV show can feature an actor named McGinley and not suck. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on April 27, 2011, 2:07 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Great show. The show continued to evolve and change and was great through Season 8. I remember liking Seasons 3, 5, and 8 a lot. It seems a lot of people like Seasons 1-3 and then started checking out as the show got more dramatic, aside from the J.D./Elliott twist going on a little too long it was all great. Season 9 had too many changes and lost a lot of the feel from the earlier seasons. -- Submitted By: (neopavlik) on January 13, 2011, 8:34 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The show was amazingly consistent throughout its run and they should have quit while they were ahead. While I think the show boned with Kim (because I just don't like Elizabeth Banks as an actress, at all) the re-start of the ninth season with the medical school and all just couldn't sustain. I watched a few of the first episodes and I thought, "This is actually starting stronger than where the very first season of Scrubs started." But it's devolved quickly and sadly, it's just treading water now. -- Submitted By: (SamuraiPanda201) on March 10, 2010, 11:26 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Scurbs BTF in season 5. The decline started after Turk and Carla got married, the ludicrous scene with Turk and JD running through the hospital and ending up on two different roofs was the start of a long but slow decline. Season 5 was when the show became unwatchable, since season 5 (no particular order or season) SPOILER WARNING Dr Coxs rants became horrendously unfunny ("Keith"olism? Come on I could write a better joke than that! Lavern Dies Politically charged episodes/jokes (War in Iraq episode, pro-choice priest) Things that should have been JD's fantasies were "real" (one armed security guard loosing his hand in the ice machine, JD getting taped to the cafeteria ceiling.) The musical episode (could have been very funny but the songs were subpar, where's Joss Whendon when you need him.) I'm sure there are more examples but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Quick addendum, 1,000 curses upon TV guide for what they did to JTS. -- Submitted By: (gpshaw) on April 7, 2009, 9:56 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
The most accurate medical show on TV. I'm not being sarcastic, the characters act like real people do in a teaching hospital (fat black nurse with an attitude, anyone?). The ONLY error I have so far seen is that JD hangs the CXR backwards during the opening credits. However, this was actually used in a joke in season 1 (when the soon-to-be pathology resident is accused of killing a patient by hanging the CXR backwards). It's jumped... errr boned now that they've run out of jokes. But the first 3 seasons were outstanding. -- Submitted By: (dudemcdudenstein) on April 2, 2009, 2:16 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I think that Scrubs was really funny to start out with and now it has funny moments here and there and not so funny moments. I could watch it or not watch it. -- Submitted By: (MaggieWessel) on March 23, 2009, 9:28 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Love Scrubs. Pure silly and great production values, with all the fantasies. The freindship between J.D. and Turk is enviable. -- Submitted By: (jim) on March 22, 2009, 11:54 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
