Random Topics - Cabbage Patch Kids
Cabbage Patch Kids are a series of dolls. They were created by Debbie Morehead and Xavier Roberts in 1978. Children "adopted" the dolls, who came packaged with birth certificates. They were first produced by Coleco in 1982, and became the must-have toy for Christmas. In 1988, Hasbro took over the rights to the dolls. In 1994 until 2012, Mattel has the rights to the dolls.

It's cruel enough to make a 9 year old girl take part in a Cabbage Patch Kids play, but making a 9 year old BOY take part? The world was messed up even back then! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 13, 2010, 6:47 pm - (-1 votes)

My third grade music teacher made us put on a Cabbage Patch Kids play. Shouldn't that be considered cruel and unusual punishment for a 9 year old boy? -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on July 13, 2010, 11:06 am - (-1 votes)

A toy that pretty much has parents beating the living piss out of one another. Anybody ask for a helping of fish on this one? -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on January 22, 2010, 4:35 am - (-1 votes)

Yech, these things are hideous. Was the Cabbage patch fertilized with toxic waste? Give me the Garbage Pail kids anytime! Prior, of course, to when Coleco sued them and forced them to redesign. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on January 21, 2010, 7:39 pm - (-1 votes)

Day 1. Somewhat cute things but were overshadowed by being price jacked and the object of every parent's fury come Christmastime. The advent of Garbage Pail Kids was inevitable. -- Submitted By: (ocfernan) on October 2, 2009, 5:57 pm - (0 votes)

Those things are some of the ugliest and creepiest looking things I have ever seen. Also I still remember parents getting into bloddy fist fights over those things when they first came out. No toy is worth going to jail over, let alone one that ugly. -- Submitted By: (meQal) on June 17, 2009, 11:35 am - (0 votes)
