A very funny series. I watched the two seasons so many times. I agree that the show was going in a direction that wasn't very positive and because the show is named Chappelle show. I understand why he backed out. The show took many risk in terms of racial insensitivity and with the 3rd season im sure producers wanted to take even more. The turning point for me really was when I heard a classmate explaining a joke from the show and he was repeating it word for word, n-word and everything. I know its a new age and it wasn't meant to offend me but it did kinda make me uncomfortable. Thats when I realized that the show wasn't so much a positive form of entertainment. Say what you want..."its just jokes"..yeah thats true but some of his jokes were too far to be on television. -- Submitted By: (Elz) on October 13, 2012, 5:59 pm - (0 votes)

Great show, but how cane you not say it boned the fish in its third season. Dave Chappelle or not, that season would have not lived up to the standards of the first two seasons, based on the "lost episode" clips that Comedy Central ran. -- Submitted By: (Dusk) on March 4, 2011, 1:00 pm - (0 votes)

once Dave started losing interest, the show obviously suffered. -- Submitted By: (VeritechRyan) on October 21, 2010, 12:06 am - (0 votes)

Dave Chappelle probably did the smart thing, as no doubt within a few more seasons, his show would of probably been hijacked, and made into something Dave Chappelle did not want. Sure, he ended up losing some money in the deal, but at least he save some of his credibility. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 4, 2009, 1:45 pm - (0 votes)
