These guys really bungled the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise as well. A shame, because the 2003 reboot started out so strong, too. They released the episodes out of order on the DVDs. And then some idiot executive got the idea, "Let put the Turtles in the FYUUUCHURRR!" (A lame gimmick.) Then these idiots at 4Kids and FOX threw out an ENTIRE SEASON of completed episodes in favor of airing the futuristic "Fast Forward" season instead, leaving cliffhangers just hanging. I've never heard of executive meddling this stupid before or since. I can understand mistakes being made, but most of the "editing" they've done was in fact deliberate mutilation. And to top it off, when they learned that die-hard anime fans didn't like their "edits" and dubbing, did they say, "We will soon release an unedited version of this anime?" Probably one of the crappiest dubbing companies in existence. If they don't butcher these Animes, by editing all the violence, and "kiddie-fying" them, They Americanize them... (Seriously, calling a Rice Ball a doughnut?) They butchered for instance One Piece and several other Animes. The Japanese make a cartoon. 4Kids butchers the hell out of it, then brings it to the United States. They take shows intended for older audiences and dumb it down for kids, and make many unnecessary edits just to give the finger to their critics, and so much more. If they have to edit it so badly to make it kid-friendly, then maybe IT IS NOT MEANT FOR KIDS!! If you see an anime which has been dubbed by 4Kids, avoid it like the plague! Just get the Japanese version with english subtitles.
