1 I agree with Robert. A case can be made for shows about the Mafia on The History Channel, since they go back to the early 20th century in America and have had a notable impact on our history. The oldest of the street gangs covered by the show date from, what, the '70s? (The MCs go back somewhat farther, of course.) The show is undeniably interesting, in a depressing sort of way - every person featured on them deserves a bullet to the head - but it's questionable to me whether it ought to be on THC. Another depressing thought: I wonder when they're going to run out of gangs to examine. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 11, 2011, 12:12 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 Im watching season 6 of this show on dvd right now, I'm a fan, and it's still a good ride. I dont like how they changed some of the graphics and music on the show, and I understand seeason 7 is the final season of the show, I have no idea why, this show was cheap to produce and infinitely interesting. And Robert, I disagree, there is quite a bit of history on the show, albeit criminal history. But I have managed to learn alot of interesting facts and true life stories from watching this show. I was also surprised about some of the big time gangs that didnt make it to the show- Black Guerilla Family comes to mind. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on May 11, 2011, 4:31 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Gangland does not--in any way, shape, or form--belong on the History Channel. Why can't they have shows like this on channels where they really belong, like Crime TV? History Channel's been airing shows which have nothing to do with History, like Axe Men and Ice Road Truckers. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on February 14, 2010, 1:50 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

5 I really dig this show, and I recently saw the "Mongols MC" epsisode which was really cool. However these guys talk alot of trash and are ery open about their semi criminal enterprise when it was filmed around 2005-2006. So I wondered what ever happened to those guys from the show- http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2009/07/mongols-exleader-pleads-guilty-to-racketeering-faces-20-years.html and I see the guy that talked the most trash about how he was untouchable offered a plea deal and surrenedered the gang copyrighted logo to the feds!! News to criminals, I love to watch you on TV, but you cannot ruin the gang for being on a show. Now did the show do them in? Maybe maybe not, but the tell you way too much information for a History channel show, this cannot help these gangs. So reluctantly the Mongol Bone the fish for this show by getting in so much trouble, after they were on the show. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on July 24, 2009, 7:42 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
