Movie Series - Bambi
Bambi was a 1942 Disney movie based on the book by Felix Salten. It told the story about Bambi, a baby fawn who is the son of the Great Prince of the Forest. Bambi befriends Thumper the rabbit, Flower the skunk, and Faline, a doe. A sequel was released direct-to-video in 2006.

Well, from what I've read, the sequel was more of a "midquel" (it shows Bambi's life between the point where he loses his mother and the point where he grows up).
