Random Topics - NFL Pro Bowl

In professional American football, the Pro Bowl is the all-star game of the National Football League (NFL). Since the merger with the rival American Football League (AFL) in 1970, it has been officially called the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl, matching players in the American Football Conference (AFC) against those in the National Football Conference (NFC).

1 Pretty much a game where players don't even try hard enough because they didn't make it to the Super Bowl. -- Submitted By: (Infyrin) on January 23, 2014, 10:54 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 NFL Pro Bowl - aka The Fluff Bowl. I've seen more contact in a ping pong game. The "game" is a joke; especially now that it is "played" the week before the Super Bowl. Obviously this "game" is sponsored by the Hawaii Promotional Board. -- Submitted By: (Pete) on August 18, 2013, 12:48 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Day 1. You are talking about a violent, hard hitting sport, having an all-star game at the end (or near-end) of the season, and asking certain players to play in it?!? No way! -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on August 28, 2012, 1:18 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
4 It boned for good when it was moved from after the SB, to before the SB, which effectively exempted SB players from appearing in the game. So if your team is in the SB you can't be a pro bowler now? Why not just leave it where it was and let EVERYONE play? Seems the NFL did some actual work here to make this an even more inferior game than it was before. Nice job. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on August 27, 2012, 3:28 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
5 This is very dumb. What's the point of having this game after the Super Bowl. I mean it's basically the NFL's version of the NBA and MLB's All-star break (or mid-season break). So, why not have the Pro Bowl somewhere in the middle and get rid of that Bye week crap (It's still 16 regular games, right?) Or just eliminate it all together. Furthermore, I understand they don't want to get hurt during the off season, but put a little effort into it.
