TV Shows - Raising the Bar

An edgy legal drama which premiered on TNT in September 2008, Raising the Bar is about a group of law school classmates who find themselves on opposite sides of the criminal law system. The edge and the drama come into play when the show delves into how the characters' personal affiliations are affected (or NOT affected) by their being in adversarial situations in the courtroom. The show lasted two seasons, for a total of twenty-five episodes.

1 As much as TBS spent advertising this piece of garbage, I thought it might be worth a damn. NOPE! 10 minutes after the first episode aired I gave up. Sucked from the start. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on July 19, 2011, 12:27 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

4 Looks like TNT also decided to move on. After two seasons and 25 episodes, TNT declined to renew Raising the Bar for a third season. After four months of airing no new episodes at all, TNT aired the last three episodes of the second season in a mini-marathon on Christmas Eve night, 2009. -- Submitted By: (Mythigator) on March 3, 2010, 1:40 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
5 My girlfriend and I watched the first couple of episodes because the teasers made it look like Law & Order on steroids. Unfortunately, it turned out to be "Law & Order meets Melrose Place": Half of the characters are sleeping with the other half, or stabbing them in the back, or -- in at least one WEIRD instance -- both. That's when we decided to move on. I like a good legal drama, but this one is Pike Place Fish Market material. -- Submitted By: (Mythigator) on July 1, 2009, 6:45 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
