Bon Jovi Comments (You must Login to Comment)

When they abandoned hair metal. They weren't my favorite band to begin with but I thought Runaway and the Slippery when Wet album were all pretty cool but they turned their back and became completely adult contemporary in the 90s abandoning all pretense of being a rock band. -- Submitted By: (loverocket) on September 29, 2015, 2:06 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Apparently it's official that Richie Sambora has left Bon Jovi, citing personal reasons. I can't blame him as the band has been neutered the past few albums into generic Top 40 noise and Jon feeding his own massive ego. Richie is one of the best guitarists in recent history who hasn't a had chance to let loose since Have A Nice Day, and in my opinion the most talented one in the band. David and Tico are very good but don't contribute much song-writing wise, Hugh is just there, and Jon is too busy trying to remind everyone he's still a sex symbol to write a half-decent song, or to lose that awful country twang in his voice. They should have a called it a day after HAND. -- Submitted By: (BBulaga75) on December 31, 2014, 3:58 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Another sad case of a rocker going adult contemporary, probably because it's only the AC radio stations that will play his music nowadays -- Submitted By: () on November 26, 2011, 10:13 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I found it quite bizarre to see their greatest hits album top the hard rock album chart since over the years the group has moved into a more adult contemporary style. Even "Living on a Prayer" is now being played on adult contemporary radio. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on August 16, 2011, 12:14 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Their last few albums have been really lame, they sound more like a very bland pop band now then an actual rock band. And what's with hating their own back catalog? That is where their good stuff is! -- Submitted By: (terror) on May 18, 2011, 1:36 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
He was obviously writing new songs in that time, like Living on a Prayer and You Give Love a Bad Name. And he mentored Ficklecrap to release their greatest hit songs, Photograph, Photograph, and Photograph. -- Submitted By: (Mr.Zimpy) on February 8, 2011, 4:25 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Ficklecrap, I like it!!! :-D I also love how Bon Jovi comepletely disappeared in the 90s (thank God!) only to instantly come back right around 2000-01. What was he doing for ten years, living in a cave? -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on February 6, 2011, 2:43 am - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
True, but Ficklecrap is following in Bon Jovi's footsteps, their the Bon Jovis of this generation. -- Submitted By: (Mr.Zimpy) on February 4, 2011, 5:35 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I don't know, Zimpy, Nickelback also tends to have that ability. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on January 31, 2011, 5:14 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I must give credit to Bon Jovi, he's the only musician who could release the same damn song over and over and sell millions of album copies. -- Submitted By: (Mr.Zimpy) on January 30, 2011, 6:18 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Seriously- "F" this worn out group of tenny-bopper glam rockers turned Liberal political shills. Brewmaster hit the nail on the head, again. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on September 4, 2009, 12:01 pm - (-2 votes) - Login to Vote
Started as a little girls band, the little girls have grown up and are still the audience. -- Submitted By: (BrewMaster) on July 29, 2009, 11:32 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
