Movie Series - Fly, The

The Fly was a 1958 horror/science fiction movie based on the short story "The Fly" by George Langelaan. The film starred Vincent Price, David Hedison, Patricia Owens, Herbert Marshall, Kathleen Freeman, Betty Lou Gerson, and Charles Herbert. A scientist has created a teleportation device known as a "disintegrater-integrater". When he attempts to use it himself, a fly enters it along with him and winds up creating two creatures: a fly with his head on it, and a man with the fly's head. The movie was followed up with Return of the Fly and Curse of the Fly. The original movie has been remade into a 1986 film, which itself has a sequel called The Fly II.
