Movie Series - Jungle Book, The

The Jungle Book was a 1967 Disney movie based on the stories written by Rudyard Kipling. The feral child Mowgli was just a baby when he was found and raised by wolves in the jungles of India. Ten years later, Shere Khan, a man-eating tiger, has returned to the jungle. Mowgli must leave the jungle and head for the main village, or Shere Khan will kill him. Mowgli is guided to the village by Bagheera, a black panther. After trying and failing to join an elephant march by Colonel Hathi, Mowgli argues with Bagheera and leaves, meeting Baloo the bear and King Louie the orangutan. The movie featured the song "The Bare Necessities". The Jungle Book 2 was released in 2003, and follows Mowgli's life in the Man Village.

1 The first Jungle Book isn't bad at all. Decent enough story. Baloo and Bagheera were cool. So were the villains, Kah and Shere Kahn. Although I've never seen a Jungle Book sequel, I'd imagine it's out there. Probably not worth the time. Disney movies tend to be that way. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on September 28, 2013, 11:52 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
