Spyro is a platform and action adventure game series starring the video game character Spyro, which was originally published by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by Insomniac Games for the Sony PlayStation. The first game was a huge success and after 3 games on the original Playstation, the rights were sold to Vivendi. Many sequels and spin-off games followed on later consoles. 1 The Legend games aren't BAD, but they just don't feel like Spyro. When my friend told me that "it was like SPyro with some God of War stuff" I knew something was wrong. -- Submitted By: (Saunich) on February 20, 2011, 3:35 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 I'm inclined to agree that after the original trilogy, the Spyro series went downhill. Enter the Dragonfly was a bug-ridden piece of trash (tons of visual glitches, long load times, and a story that seemed like it was thrown together 5 minutes before the deadline), A Hero's Tail was a bit better, and after that...just don't know. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on August 8, 2010, 9:32 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Personally, I think the games boned the fish after the original trilogy. The first 3 games were lighthearted and fun; playing them did not require the thought and understanding of the others. Afterwards, the series got edgier, and therefore was not as fun. Now, I will admit that I prefer kiddie games over more mature ones, so your mileage may vary here, but as well it should be noted that too many sequels can ruin anything; even a series as brilliant as Spyro. -- Submitted By: (Puggy) on November 12, 2009, 10:32 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
