Hugo Chavez Comments (You must Login to Comment)

One can only get so much traction from "I hate the USA" as a justification for holding power. I couldn't care less what he thinks of America, provided he showed some respect for the rights of his own people. But he is at heart just another dime-a-dozen self-interested tyrant who talks a good game about democracy and freedom from tyranny but doesn't back it up with his actions. It's for that reason, and not because he hates the USA (which is frankly irrelevant in my view), that he deserves to be forcibly retired. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on April 1, 2011, 4:21 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

Chavez is a windbag who loves the smell of his own farts and is blind to the reality in front of him. I was glad when his bid to be president-for-life was shot down by the will of the people - there may still be hope for Valenzuela after all. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on June 24, 2010, 9:10 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Bush called Chavez a thug, so Chavez had the right to call him a devil? Here's the thing. Chavez IS a thug. The sulfur Chavez smelled from Bush? Chavez probably caught wind of one of his own farts. And you know these tyrants, they think their farts don't stink. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on December 18, 2009, 9:38 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
A "freedom fighter" is what you call a terrorist, if you support their cause. -- Submitted By: (Eugene) on December 17, 2009, 6:49 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I agree, Robert, but then His Majesty Juan Carlos had singlehanded saved Spain's post-Franco representative government from doom when he defied thugs who attempted to hold the Spanish Cortes (parliament) hostage in 1981 by stating that he supported the legit government instead of them and rallied others to vanquish the thugs. In other words, King Juan Carlos knows the difference between a REAL representative government and a thug who's propped himself up. Oh, and I wish someone would confront Sean Penn and other Chavez fans on live national television about Chavez's blatant support for Colombian terrorists who have routinely kidnapped legitimate representatives and wreaked havoc on countless innocent civilians- yet Chavez backs THEM. How is THAT being a 'freedom fighter'? -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on December 16, 2009, 1:56 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Did he imply Bush was a devil before or after Bush called him a thug? I am not a fan of either person and am not defending Cahvez, but would anyone just let people call them names? Let's put some things into perspective. -- Submitted By: (MCS) on October 18, 2009, 4:29 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
King Juan Carlos I of Spain said it best about Chavez: "Por que no te callas?" (Why don't you just shut up?) -- Submitted By: (Robert) on August 3, 2009, 11:45 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
