Beverly Hills Cop Comments (You must Login to Comment)

1 Beverly Hills Cop 1 was an 80's classic. Edgy humor, lots of action, tons of rich people, it represented the 80's more than many other movies during the decade did. Eddie Murphy was young, raw and hilarious. Beverly Hills Cop 2 was a good, not great, sequel. Lots of action and comedy once again, but at times it felt more forced. "Shakedown" wasn't "The Heat is On" and the whole thing felt at times like a rerun of the previous movie. Still liked it and not quite boned yet. Beverly Hills Cop 3 definitely boned the fish. Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson weren't involved, which was the tip of the fish. John Ashton, Ronnie Cox and Paul Reiser not returning caused the series to eat more fish. Harold F's classic "Axel Foley" being butchered caused the series to eat even more fish. Eddie Murphy looking bored and in it only for the paycheck finished half the fish. Stupid plot devices and terrible acting finished another quarter. It no longer being the 80's killed the whole fish. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on May 4, 2010, 7:55 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
