TV Shows - MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge)

MXC is an American dubbing of the Japanese game show, Takeshi's Castle. Takeshi's Castle aired from 1986 - 1989, while the American dubbing aired on Spike from 2003 - 2007. The dubbing has turned the game show into a comedy, and what the hosts and contestants say are not the correct translations for what they are really saying in Japanese. In addition, the jokes rely on pop culture references, double entendres, and vulgarity.

1 It's mindless entertainment, and I expected nothing more! It's amazing to think that half of the voice actors (Christopher Darga and John Cervenka) were party responsible for the abysmal garbage that was Burt Luddin's Love Buffet on GSN, cause they totally redeemed themselves on MXC! Sure, fans of Takeshi's Castle will probably be dumbfounded by what was done to the original show, but it's for a different audience, and luckily, it was well recieved enough for a four year run. -- Submitted By: (robfrules) on June 20, 2010, 1:53 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 The show boned for the start for idiotic dubbing and taking Tawsha's Castle out of context. -- Submitted By: (scatcatpdx) on November 13, 2009, 11:08 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
