George Lopez (also known as The George Lopez Show) is an American sitcom starring Mexican-American comedian George Lopez that originally aired on ABC from March 27, 2002 to May 8, 2007. Reruns of the show now air on The CW Television Network and on Nickelodeon's Nick at Nite. The show was originally scheduled to be succeeded in January of 2009 with another similar show called the Dave Ramos Show but its release is still pending.

1. I hated what they did to Carmen's character.
2. I hated that they made Max seem so STUPID. Unrealistically so.
3. Benny's Character was just awful.

Why is President Bush up there as a reason for the show having boned? It was a great show, but it started getting annoying with Carmen's bloated angst, then Georges niece coming in from nowhere was a bad move. To stephanie, THANK YOU! Someone else agree's with me that the episode with the bathroom renovation was horrible. Bennie is a heartless bitch who blamed all her problems on her own son. The show BTFed when it became the "Carmen's Drama of the Week" show and Masiela Lusha left. Bringing in Veronica was a vain attempt to undo the damage. Veronica turned out to be almost as much of a drama queen as Carmen was, and an airhead to boot. Day one. Formulaic and dull. George Lopez is just another modern day comedian full of snarky remarks that annoy the heck out of me. Not only that, but I agree with Stephanie. This has got to be one of the most racist shows! Everytime they show a white person, they portray them as shallow and stupid. Then there's George's abusive sorry-ass excuse for a mother. The episode where he redecorated her bathroom for her and she didn't say "thank you" then she starts whining about her "hard" life and how she got pregnant at 15, was on her own, had to work hard as a single mom, blah blah blah... ad nauseum just made me want to throw up. Carmen: You're the worst dad ever! I hate you and I never want to talk to you again!!!!!!!!!
As George put it in one episode, "Stomp, stomp, slam!"

Veronica was a horrible addition to the show. While Carmen got annoying at times (think Becky from Roseanne), Veronica was a terrible addition and the writing was on the wall. Whenever a primary character leaves a show it is time to end.
