1 I found the Leonard Nimoy-produced Deadly Games fun to watch, mainly for one reason: Christopher Lloyd as Sebastian Jackal (the boss of all the bad guys in the series). I loved how he delivered certain lines (e.g. "The Cold Steel Kid, as I live and breathe, which, son of a gun, I'm doing, aren't I?" after entering the real world, or "I've got one just like it, *real* big, with a nuclear bomb!" when Gus shows him the toy plane that he thinks is the weapon). The series was starting to show just what direction it was going in (police detectives start to follow Gus & Co.; maybe, had there been a season 2, the government would have gotten involved; season 3, terrorists try to forge alliances with Jackal) when UPN abruptly cancelled it. Even more bothersome, a year later, they gave the green light to two garbage sitcoms (Homeboys from Outer Space and The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer) when Deadly Games was way better than those two *combined*. -- Submitted By: (markrabo) on September 18, 2009, 3:39 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
