Triumnph would've fared much better methinks if they'd just laid it on the line and stopped wasting my time ;-) -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 27, 2012, 4:37 am - (0 votes)

When MTV was still young, in the early 1980s, it seemed they would show the "MTV Concert" version of "Magic Power" like it was going out of style. Took me a long time to warm up to this band because I was so sick of the one song before I finally heard another one. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 25, 2012, 2:37 pm - (0 votes)

Great band! Some people refer to these Canadians as a "Poor Man's Rush" I have to disagree with this statement - Triumph put out some outstanding albums such as Allied Forces, Never Surrender and Thunder Seven. While not as musically complex as Rush, these albums remain on the same level.
Triumph missed a step in the late 80s early 90s when Rik Emmett decided to leave the band and persue a different direction as a classical guitarist. While Rik's replacement (sorry, can't remember his name) sounded good on record, Triumph never recovered the fame they had in the early 80s. -- Submitted By: (diezman) on November 21, 2009, 11:27 pm - (0 votes)
