I personally loved Unfabulous. All the topics like your first kiss and school science fair project, I could relate to. The characters were easy to understand. Obviously, as I got into high school and college and I saw the reruns I was like, "these people are tripping off of nothing. what's the big deal?!" But I guess that's what makes this such a good classic show.
