Celebrities - OJ Simpson
Orenthal James "O. J." Simpson (born July 9, 1947),also known as "The Juice", is a retired American football player, actor, spokesman, and convicted felon. He originally attained fame in sports as a running back at the collegiate and professional levels, and was the first NFL player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season, a mark he set during the 1973 season.
In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of the murder of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman after a lengthy, highly publicized criminal trial. A 1997 judgment against Simpson for their wrongful deaths was awarded in civil court by a jury, but to date he has paid little of the $33.5 million judgment. He gained further notoriety in late 2006 when he wrote a book titled If I Did It. The book, which purports to be a first-person fictional account of the murder had he actually committed it, was withdrawn by the publisher just before its release. The book was later released by the Goldman family and the title of the book was expanded to If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer (ISBN 978-0825305887), with the word "If" reduced in size to make it appear that the title was "I Did It: Confessions of the Killer".
In September 2007, Simpson was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada and charged with numerous felonies, including robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, coercion with use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit a crime. A jury found Simpson guilty of all charges on October 3, 2008; and he was sentenced on December 5 to at least nine years in prison. He is currently serving his sentence at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada

Yeah, Thanks a lot OJ for the chain of events that leads to making Kim Kardashian a household name. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on November 30, 2011, 10:57 am - (0 votes)

First and foremost, the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman were huge tragedies but to make a bad situation even worse, everyone forgers that it was "lawyer" Robert Kardashian who became a big name because of the murder. At that time Kardashian was a businessman and hadn't practiced law in years. Furthermore, the two were friends. Thanks a lot OJ, you really screwed everyone. -- Submitted By: (Northeastern292) on November 29, 2011, 10:07 am - (1 votes)

The word is that he confessed to Oprah that he did it, "but it was self-defense". Whatever. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on July 6, 2011, 5:35 pm - (0 votes)

I don't agree that O.J. boned when he killed his wife in 1994. He boned when he beat her up in 1989, and possibly earlier in the marriage. The murder was more a matter of his building a cage from all the fish bones he had already accumulated. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 6, 2011, 3:37 am - (2 votes)

I despise OJ for being the one who officially started the trend of nobody being punished for anything anymore, even non-celebs. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 9, 2009, 6:54 pm - (0 votes)

There's a reason he was searching for Ron and Nicole's killer on the golf course...the killer was there. Eventually, OJ helped land the killer in jail. How? By robbing the Las Vegas casino at gunpoint and earning himself 33 years in prison. OJ accomplished his mission to bring Ron and Nicole's killer to justice. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on April 29, 2009, 12:57 pm - (0 votes)

He's having his fish served to him in prison. Killing your wife, and her friend is boning a fish. So is using the race card to get out of it, as well as writing books about how you would have done it if you had done it, and so is armed robbery. I hear he doesn't even get tarter sauce in jail. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on April 27, 2009, 4:35 am - (0 votes)

His most recent conviction in Las Vegas. A retroactive bone the fish moment in that it justified all of the hate and derision thrown at him before that he avoided because of his acquittal. I wanted to believe that OJ didn't do it, and if after being acquitted, OJ had went on to live an uninteresting, ordinary life, I might have actually brought that this was a generally decent guy who got a bad rap off a false accusation. However this wasn't the case: OJ was in trouble with the law every 5 minutes, and getting in fights with girlfriends and his daughter. Given that, it's not a stretch to assume that he killed his ex wife: most people would say "who would be stupid enough to kill your ex wife the way OJ did," but then who would be stupid enough to do all of the stuff that OJ has been seen doing, save OJ himself? -- Submitted By: (castaghast) on April 23, 2009, 12:07 pm - (0 votes)

OJ is a homocidal maniac, pure and simple. He had money, talent and fame, so there's no other explanation for his jealous rage that caused him to decapitate his wife and silence the witness. It's just too bad that "L.A. Law" enforcement is so pathetic with their racist cops and inompetent prosecutors that they can't even convict someone who's literally caught red-handed. -- Submitted By: (SarahGoodwich) on April 14, 2009, 4:59 am - (0 votes)
