Actually in this case ol' Jesse has a point. Why bash him for that when there are SO many other ways he's justifiably BTF? Why mock him and the Occupy Wall Street movement for at least TRYING to stand up for everyone's rights instead of meekly submitting to them being taken away one by one? I don't understand this way of thinking I've been seeing lately. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on November 8, 2011, 9:50 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
He sued the federal government, alleging that airport scans and pat-downs amounted to unreasonable search and seizure. A district judge in St. Paul threw out his lawsuit Thursday, ruling it should have been filed in a Circuit Court of Appeals. (http://tinyurl.com/3uon87w ) Now he says he will move to Mexico and he had lost his patriotism, and would "never stand for the national anthem again." Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, douchebag -- Submitted By: () on November 5, 2011, 9:59 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Last time I heard Jesse speak (probably in 2004) he was a big defender of free speach. It was refreshing to listen to someone who wasn't blinded by partisanship. -- Submitted By: (wilddrawfour) on June 5, 2011, 9:22 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Ventura boned the moment he traded his rasslin' tights for a Hollywood career (as modest as it turned out to be). Then he ate the bones when he got into politics. However, I will say in his favor that he appears to sincerely believe that both major parties, and the ideologies that guide them, stink to high heaven. His libertarianism, and his distrust of the twin monoliths of the right and the left, seem to be genuine, and I can't fault that at all. And as for the conspiracy-theory nonsense, I'm not sure how much of it he truly buys into and how much he peddles just for the sake of his TV show's ratings. (I suspect the latter is largely the case, just as it is with Art Bell.) -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on April 25, 2011, 1:13 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Hard to believe that when he first became governor of Minnesota ol' Jesse actually made sense when he said something. I honestly think hanging around too many libbies has turned his brain into mush! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on May 3, 2010, 2:17 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Well, not all the time, does a actor/actress getting into politics is a bad thing, as long as they don't end up siding with some extreme side. I just think at some point, Ventura had just lost it. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 24, 2010, 12:57 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Ventura started boning when he got "Hollywood Actor into Politics" syndrome. When your career is going downhill or starting to go, some actors believe that they should try to improve society or do something helpful for this country. They return to politics when through most have no college education or law experience to help them in this complex job. Ventura became a gov. because for some reason people like actors being politics and think they will get the stuff the actors do like the movies. I think he wasn't the worst of the political actors (cough cough: worst is Reagan and Arnold cough cough). He started getting weird. He looks like a loony with his hair all strucking 100 degress, overweight and telling conspiracy theories on the View. 8 Jesse Boned an entire ocean of Fishies when he put on the tinfoil hat and hopped on the paranoid conspiracy theory bandwagon. -- Submitted By: (BrianBuck) on January 15, 2010, 8:14 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
