I can't peel myself away from this show. Thank you Ion TV for showing 8 episodes a day to get me caught up on seasons 1-5.
As a comedy, the show is a little topical. they love spoofing the latest trends, and of course, they will never stop poking fun at CBS's 'The Mentalist' for ripping off their formula. Having the main couple get together and slowly evolve wasn't such a bad thing, in the name of "professionalism" they keep their relationship out of the work relationship (mostly).
Another fun thing about the show: there's a pineapple in every episode, sometimes obvious, sometimes subtle. "Spot the pineapple" is a favorite game of die-hard fans, and a fair drinking game bonus when combined with "drink every time they eat." -- Submitted By: (Tedward) on April 4, 2013, 6:11 am - (0 votes)

To me, the show boned it when Shawn and Juliet hooked up together. Not only does Shawn put down Lassie even worse with the insults, Juliet even thinks he's too much of a buffoon that she agrees with Shawn and sometimes even goes behind his back to help Shawn which aggravates me because she's supposed to be his partner. Worse, Carlton is looking more like an incompetent idiot than a Head Detective of the SBPD. I think one of the choices should be "When Shawn and Juliet Became Lovers" because that seemed to change the dynamics of the show. I still watch it though. -- Submitted By: (gagedesoto) on September 28, 2012, 2:07 pm - (0 votes)

You are right, I meant the actor in the pilot (that's a different one for sure). Last time they showed Psych in my contry, they barely send three episodes before switching to Monk again...it's frustrating.... -- Submitted By: (Swanpride) on September 16, 2009, 12:04 pm - (0 votes)

Imho Psych only gets better each episode. "An Evening with Mr. Yang" was the best episode so far and the start of the new season looks very promising, too! (Plus, I prefer the new childactor for the young Shawn over the one in season one). -- Submitted By: (Swanpride) on September 5, 2009, 3:05 am - (2 votes)
