TV Shows - Chuck

Chuck is a standard, but pretty well-executed, "fish-out-of-water" story. Now with Chuck's "upgrade" to a Real Secret Agent, they're putting the fish in a large, run of the mill aquarium, making it a fish ripe for the boning.

1 Future hbrennan - Now that the series has ended (Season 5), I'm glad to say that it wrapped up very nicely (and didn't "drag on" forever). To the cast, writers and fans (who saved the show) - "Thanks, guys!" -- Submitted By: (hbrennan) on November 10, 2014, 10:19 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 The only drawback to this show was that Chuck would retreat into wimpiness too quickly on his missions. Otherwise it had an excellent cast, deft writing, dynamite sound track, and always stayed clever. This show was not madcap comedy ala Get Smart, and it wasn't typically LOL-funny, but instead it was "satisfying-grin-inducing". The characters, given the premise, were all believable, and the audience could care about them. For contrast, think of Star Trek's Commander Riker- no way could that bland, uninteresting, mess-of-a-character EVER be an officer in ANY organization in the galaxy. On the other hand; Casey, Walker, Big Mike, Morgan, Devon & Ellie, all perfectly delivered by their actors. The show was not so much about a goofy nerd on spy missions, it was really about relationships and their trials: trust, sacrifice, open communications, empathy... every episode had at least one relationship epiphany that would leave the viewer misty-eyed. Everyone involved with this show should be very proud of their work. Best closing episode of any series EVER. -- Submitted By: (chuckFan) on January 4, 2014, 11:21 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote

4 It was a good enough show for them to bring it back for a 3rd season after it had already been canceled. It has great characters, great writing and a well-deserved very solid fan base. -- Submitted By: (hbrennan) on January 25, 2010, 12:37 pm - (5 votes) - Login to Vote
5 Not sure if the show is about too, but I am predicting this season will be the Jump...errr. I mean boning.... Chuck was great as a normal guy forced into the spy world. Now that they are making him a real spy, I think it is the beginning of the end. Won't count it as boned yet, but not too optimistic -- Submitted By: (DavidSilverlight) on January 4, 2010, 2:19 pm - (-5 votes) - Login to Vote
