What a bunch of sellouts! (If you're a Texan or envy fancy shopping, you'll understand this) This insipid bank, known for their barbarian commercials, dethroned the famous Dallas store Neiman Marcus from sponsorship of their annual Christmas parade back in 2009! How un-Texan is this: the Capital One parade from Dallas, Texas! The parade makes no reference to the sponsor it replaced, the quirky Christmas commercials (along with the American Airlines commercials) are done with, not to mention most people (Dallas radio personalities, usually) don't want to use the new sponsor when talking about this parade! I have devised new nicknames to use: "The Scottish Bank," which refers to this very own bank without mentioning it by name; "The Scottish Minions," which refers to the C-1 marketing people and those who dethroned Neiman's; "The Scottish Swear," which was the clause telling Neiman's NOT to tell the reason why the sponsorship changed, and on a lighter note, "The Bank Which Shall NOT Be Named," for the same reason as the first nickname! Kudos to Mythigator for inspiration from the "Scottish Site" references! For more information on this local tragedy as well as how to help, see the "Neiman Marcus" page under "Random Topics." -- Submitted By: (SVN) on February 4, 2010, 9:42 pm - (0 votes)
