Eureka was a science fiction TV show which premiered on Syfy on July 18, 2006. The town of Eureka is populated mostly by geniuses and scientists. U.S. Marshal Jack Carter stumbles upon this town while transporting his rebellious teenage daughter Zoe back to her mother's home in Los Angeles. After the sheriff of Eureka is crippled in an accident, Carter is chosen to fill the vacancy. Though he is not a genius like most members of the town, his ability to connect to others, and other skills--including his steadfast dedication to his work--repeatedly saves Eureka, and sometimes the entire world, from one would-be disaster after another.
