Movie Series - Child's Play

Child's Play is a 1988 American horror film written by Don Mancini and directed by Tom Holland. It was released on November 9, 1988. The film met with moderate success upon its release, and has since developed a cult following among fans of the horror genre. The film is the first in the Child's Play film series, which was originally a whodunit film in contrast to the latter sequels. This was the only film in the series released by MGM/UA, as the rights to the series were sold to Universal beginning with the sequel.

1 I liked number two the most out of all of them. The first film had the right amount of heart jumping moments, but not enough deaths. It just wasn't scary at all. The second one had everything I wanted from a living doll film. It was a lot gorier and had a higher body count number. The third one competed with the first for the most laughs. I remember being afraid of the poster for the third movie in ninety one. The series boned with the fourth film. Chucky did not frighten me anymore because he had stitches all over his face. Chucky did not appear as threatening with all of the stitches. -- Submitted By: (tvwatcher7) on September 13, 2014, 6:01 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 When Chucky actually appeared on World Championship Wrestling's Monday Nitro to make fun of Rick Steiner. -- Submitted By: (John63btf) on June 1, 2014, 7:22 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 After the success of "Scream" They tried to change the format of the series and that was when it boned big time. Everthing after part 3 -- Submitted By: (lrbloom) on June 27, 2011, 4:16 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
4 Child's Play rules, especially the first two. I agree Bride and Seed became too campy but it's still better than most of today's horror movies. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on January 9, 2011, 8:02 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
5 When the sequels tried to be horror comedy. -- Submitted By: (lrbloom) on January 8, 2011, 8:20 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
6 The last sequel - a pathetic attempt to cash in on the success of horror parody movie like scream. Kill Chucky andget it over with. What next Chucky meets Jason in Friday the 13th Part 47? -- Submitted By: (lrbloom) on November 28, 2010, 5:25 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
7 This series is like the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street series. They exist as franchises for camp value. I don't think you can really take them too seriously, just enjoy! -- Submitted By: (MCS) on July 15, 2010, 11:47 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
