Seeing 70-something Lucy and 80-something Gale Gordon get banged around by props, etc. evoked audience apprehension NOT laughs. If there was ever a sadder swansong to what had been a shining career, I haven't heard of it! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on February 20, 2010, 11:31 am - (3 votes)

She shoulda stuck to what she knew with I Love Lucy. Contrary to popular belief, adding color or modern-ness to a show doesn't make it better, -- Submitted By: (LauDor08) on February 19, 2010, 10:02 pm - (2 votes)

Lucille Ball tried to bring the magic back with dismal results. Did she not realize that times had changed and that the antics that she pulled off in the infancy of television would not work on a younger, more sophisticated audience. Apparently not, as she was too old to pull it off convincingly and it had all been done before. Poor Lucy. Boned on day 1. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 10, 2010, 1:38 pm - (2 votes)
