It was done for the money and nothing else. Those that participated cared only for their bloated wallets and not those suffering in Haiti (an earthquake, now a cholera epidemic). Much like Diddy's take on Every Breath You Take to remember the Notorious B.I.G. this was just indolent and disrespectful. If they really cared, an original or at least more surreptitious sampling song would have been used. My case in point: Crossroads by Bone Thugs N Harmony to remember Easy-E. In a way, We are the World remake Haiti is disrespectful to the victims of the Earthquake.
