Finally, a civil rights group to counter the ACLU! Oddly, the ACRU's Wikipedia entry says it's "arguably a "conservative" civil liberties advocacy group", while its entry for the ACLU says nothing about it being "arguably liberal". Instead, it has the line "Conservatives and Republicans have frequently criticized the ACLU." (Oops! Looks like Wikipedia forgot to acknowledge that Independents, Democrats, and Liberals have also criticized the ACLU. I'd add it, but the deletionists certainly wouldn't like that.) Wikipedia also says nothing about their liberal stance. See for yourself: go to Wikipedia's ACLU page. While there, move your cursor to the top of the window, click EDIT, and drag down to FIND (on this page). Enter the word, "liberal" and click the find button. You'll only find the word once, but it's not in a sentence describing the ACLU...it's from a quote about Dukakis. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on March 17, 2010, 6:34 pm - (0 votes)
