1 There's a running routine you'd have to get used to in order to progress through this show. Village living peacefully, bandits come in, bandits say stupid stuff, act all threatening and enslave the people in village or kill everyone. Bandits threaten hostages, Kenshiro comes in, bandits threaten hostages more, say they'll kick Kenshiro's ass a thousand times, get their asses kicked by Kenshiro, some leftover bandits run away and village back to peace. Rinse and repeat for almost half the show. But beside all of that, this show has some pretty deep development going for it. Every major villain has about a tragedy within themselves that make them do the things they do. They aren't doing it for the sake of just wanting the world. If you like seeing idiot bad guys just get dealt with in the most gruesome fashions possible. You'll enjoy this show, it's got good characters, strong development and writing, animation in some episodes go hand and in hand. Some quality of episodes look better than others while others look utter crap. If you still don't know where the phrase "You're already dead" came from. This show here. -- Submitted By: (Infyrin) on March 17, 2015, 8:46 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
2 This is one of my most favorite anime ever, so it's hard for me to vote. The show probably did "peak" after Kenshiro's final deathmatch with Raoh. The series had been building up to that for years and built Raoh up to arguably the greatest anime villain in history. All episodes past that point are called "Fist of the North Star 2"; it's debatable if its a new show or justa new "season". These new villains all had to live in the shadow of Raoh, but I think they were still solid and fun. Falco was a great "heroic" villain and the Land of Asura episodes were basically "Kenshiro in Sparta", which was fun. So I guess I'll go with "Never Boned", though I could see why people might dislike "2". -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on October 29, 2011, 6:40 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
