Laura Schlessinger, known better as Dr. Laura, is an American talk radio host, socially conservative commentator and author. Her call-in radio program occasionally features short monologues on social and political topics, but is mostly made up of her responses to callers' requests for personal advice. The show started off focusing on relationship and sex advice, but moved into family advice in general, with an emphasis on conservative moral values. Schlessinger's answers have been variously characterized as direct, wise, to-the-point, abrupt and cruel. Her website says that her show "preaches, teaches, and nags about morals, values and ethics."

This show is awful. I listened to it once while flipping for something to listen to during my lunch break and could only tolerate it for about five minutes before turning the station. This lady is a hypocrite of the worst kind (yells at people for having children out of wedlock and moving in with a boyfriend before marriage, when she did the same thing), treats her callers like crap, and is a thinly veiled mouthpiece for the Republican party.
