octogirlpretty, Sorry but I've found no evidence that Beck has publically or privately renounced Scientology much less quit its practice. If you've found evidence as opposed to wishful thinking that he would do so, you are by all means welcome to share that with us. Meantime, I reiterate that folks who don't want to chance supporting Scientology need to carefully consider spending their monies on Beck and his products regardless of how he came into the organization. Oh, and for the record, I praise the polite offspring of rude parents because they've had to work extra hard to learn manners in spite of having poor parental examples. Unfortunately, from my observations, there seems to be fewer of those than rude offspring of polite parents. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on October 21, 2010, 4:58 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
@Pelirojo: That is 100% true, but Beck is not a practicing $cientologist. His only relation to it is him being born into it. That is like saying that you don't like a kid because he has rude parents. Will the kid nessisarily be rude, too? -- Submitted By: (octogirlpretty) on October 18, 2010, 10:49 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Regardless of whether he was born into Scientology or not, consumers need to carefully consider whether they want to spend their hard-earned cash on buying his products due to a high probability of a good portion of it going to Scientology. If folks don't want to support Scientology, there are plenty of talented musicians out there they can give their monies to besides him. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on October 18, 2010, 8:09 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I think the fact that he has been victimized by the cult since birth is why the "Save Beck" signs have appeared. Despite his fame and wealth, this is truly someone to have pity on. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on October 18, 2010, 4:16 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The difference between Beck and these other $cientology-humping celebs? Beck was BORN into it. I don't blame him, nor did I stop buying his albums. -- Submitted By: (octogirlpretty) on October 18, 2010, 4:10 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I've heard that folks have "Save BECK from $cientology" signs at his concerts- another victim of the cult- sad. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on October 18, 2010, 3:58 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
