I would say when Ginger left, but then I hit puberty as well and realised they were simply bland from the beginning. Also, they really stretched out the whole "spice" thing with increasingly ridiculous puns. Real boning moment: from the start. -- Submitted By: (johnnydough) on April 19, 2012, 7:42 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Irony is that, when they met David Beckham was a soccer player barely-known outside the UK while Victoria and her other bandmates were supposedly the greatest band since sliced Bread [pun semi-intended].Flash forward to now: How many folks would still remember them if one weren't Mrs. David Beckham? -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on April 19, 2012, 6:50 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The Spice Girls had absolutely no staying power, except for the ridicule they get nowadays. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on April 18, 2012, 6:50 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
PYLrulz, I agree. There are definitely things I miss about the 90's. The Spice Girls are NOT one of them at all. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on April 15, 2012, 11:44 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
There is many things I miss about the 90's... This isn't one of them. Day One! -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on February 17, 2012, 1:47 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I almost forgot about Spice Girls, matter of fact I forgotten that Victora Beckmen and Mel B were part that group. Anyways they boned when they open their mouth with two words, "GIRL POWER". Urgg, if that's not enough that movie just made them worse and they really everywhere. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on June 27, 2011, 7:07 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Shudders indeed - I agree - I really can't improveon what's already been said. -- Submitted By: (lrbloom) on June 27, 2011, 4:31 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
*shudders* One of the most annoying bands of all time. I couldn't STAND the Spice Girls, even to this day! -- Submitted By: (Robert) on February 27, 2011, 7:15 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Ah yes, the Spice Girls. The group who turned the phrase "Girl Power" into one of the most annoying cliches in human history. That, my friends, is their legacy. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on February 27, 2011, 5:40 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
The Spice Girls were a manufactured group masterminded by Simon Fuller with maximum commercial intent. They promoted 'GIRL POWER' which apparently meant that everyone should drink 'Pepsi'! They endorsed practically everything in the UK until it became a joke. They took everything they could and gave nothing back apart from encouraging girls to be as shallow as them. A few years later when they began running short of money and attention, they decided to take even more and re-unite for more money spinning tours. To me, their legacy will not be 'Girl Power', but 'Sell everything and make as much money as possible while pretending to do it for good intent'. Oh, and keep drinking Pepsi!! -- Submitted By: (thegorillaismine) on February 26, 2011, 1:10 pm - (4 votes) - Login to Vote
If they had a hit, what was it? Tell me why you thought this group was viable please. I thought they boned day 1. All I ever heard is Wannabe, I thought it sucked. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 10, 2010, 11:43 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I used to love them, but they get old fast. -- Submitted By: (LauDor08) on November 9, 2009, 5:54 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I was never a fan of this group, but at least they had the class to bow out gracefully when their time was up. Therefore, they never boned. -- Submitted By: (MCS) on November 7, 2009, 3:03 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The Spice Girls were mainly for the grammar school crowd. Once my generation grew up we forgot about them. (Of course the girls getting pregnant didn't help matters...) -- Submitted By: (gpshaw) on April 15, 2009, 8:50 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
