Even as a kid I thought this was ridiculous (and in fact kind of creepy). However, I really wanted a pair of those X-Ray Specs that were marketed by the same dude. Mainly, though, I dreamed about my parents buying me one of those cool miniature submarines advertised in comic books. ("Over 7 Feet Long!" "Fires Rockets and Torpedoes!") But noooooo - they couldn't spring for the measly $6.98, the dirty cheapskates, so I had to find other ways to one-up the other kids in the neighborhood. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on April 30, 2011, 3:37 am - (2 votes)

The inventor was a white supremacist. Alas, it seems everything we loved as kids have deep dark secrets to them. I only had sea monkeys once when I was little, so looking back, I'm glad I didn't really contribute to him or his causes. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on April 7, 2011, 8:54 pm - (1 votes)

He's dead now so you don't have to worry about Sea Monkey money money going to such a horrible person, but still, something to think about. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on April 7, 2011, 1:43 pm - (3 votes)
