Generator Rex is a Cartoon Network series created by Man of Action (who also created Ben 10), inspired by the comic series M. Rex (Machina Rex). Five years ago, a massive explosion, known as "The Original Event", occurred, releasing massive amounts of nanites into the atmosphere, infecting almost every life form on Earth. The nanites transform their hosts into Exponentially Variegated Organisms (E.V.O.s). Most retain human intelligence, while others go on rampages. Rex (voiced by Daryl Sabara) is a 16-year old with amnesia. Though he is an E.V.O., he is not deformed, but he can use the nanites in his system to facilitate bio-mechanical abilities. He also possesses the ability to deactivate nanites in other E.V.O.s, thus curing them of their conditions. Working for Providence with Agent Six (voiced by Wally Kurth), Rex uses his abilities to cure rampaging E.V.O.s, while trying to stop the villainous Van Kleiss (voiced by Troy Baker).
