TV Shows - Hot l Baltimore
The show takes place in the fictional Hotel Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland, and draws its title from the cheap establishment's neon marquee, which has a burned-out letter "e" that has never been replaced. The series had several controversial elements, including two primary characters who were prostitutes (one of whom was an illegal immigrant) and one of the first gay couples to be depicted on an American television series.

Maybe you're both right. My recollection of this show was that while I saw certain eps, I really didn't understand much of what was going on having been elementary school age at the time. My old man thought the show was OK. My mom hated it. That was applying their 1970s standards. Who knows how they would view this today? -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on February 20, 2013, 1:43 pm - (0 votes)

The way I see it, the average TV viewer at that time wasn't moronic ENOUGH. The media just needed more time to brainwash people into accepting any old garbage shoved down their throats. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 13, 2012, 3:22 pm - (-1 votes)

Way ahead of its time. Very funny. Unfortunately, it was too controversial for the average audience at that point in time. It was the first network television show to have a warning at its opening, cautioning viewers about mature themes. It only lasted for 13 shows - evidently, the average TV viewer is a moron. -- Submitted By: (hbrennan) on June 12, 2012, 8:08 am - (1 votes)
