1 I don't mind the awareness thing, my problem is that no male cancers get near as much push. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on October 6, 2013, 1:03 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 I wonder if they're aware that there ARE breast cancer survivors who HATE the color pink and get turned off by the organization solely due to its insistence of shoving that color down everyone's throat- regardless of what other good works it may do. I know because I have a close family member who does all she can to avoid the organization for that very reason. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on October 1, 2013, 3:44 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 The sad thing about charities is you have no way to ensure your donations are put to good use, instead of less scrupulous means. Your best bet is to research charities using unbiased sources before donating to them. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on September 20, 2013, 10:22 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
4 I really do hope they're making head way to find a cure for breast cancer. My concern, with any charity is, are they really using that money for research to the best of its ability or is it just a scam to get "your" money? My skepticism aside, I imagine most people would hope that all cancers types are eradicated. September is supposed to be prostate cancer awareness month. I haven't seen much of a push for contributions to its charities or even for awareness other than the president declaring it so. It really is just as important to help fund prostate cancers research as it is with breast cancer. -- Submitted By: () on September 18, 2013, 12:47 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
