TV Shows - Resurrection

An 8-year old American boy wakes up in a rice field in China with no idea of who he is or how he got there. He is brought to Chicago where he starts to recover his memory and tells an agent he is from a small town in Missouri. The agent takes him home to his parents but there is one problem, the boy died 30 years ago. More dead people soon return and meet hostility and bigotry from the living.

1 Awesome show! It lasted two seasons which is amazing for an American series that deals with touchy subject matter that raised the ire of fundamentalist Christians. The show was first of all brilliantly written, directed and acted. It questions what we are and what happens when we die. Do we really have immortal souls? Can we come back after death? Is there a god? What is the nature of our reality? I will miss it but I am glad it got to run for two seasons. Omar Epps and Kurtwood Smith (Dr. Foreman from House and Red Forman from That '70's Show) turned in stunning performances on every episode. The biggest thing that freaked people out about this show was that it all revolved around the death of an 8-year old child. The boy came back but what was he? A demon or just a child needing a home? What would you do if your dead son came back home? Denounce him and turn him away or just love him and be thankful you were given a second chance to love him? -- Submitted By: (spacer) on March 8, 2015, 8:03 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
