TV Shows - Police Squad! (in color)

Too few episodes, never jumped.... errr I mean boned. From starting credits ("A bird in the hand") to closing fake freeze frames, this was pure television genius. Cigarette? Yes, it is.

2 Never boned. Where else could you see a "special guest star" killed off in the opening minute every week? -- Submitted By: (John63btf) on December 17, 2011, 1:51 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Ground breaking, if it weren't for the movies, it would be long forgotten. RIP Leslie. -- Submitted By: (jonkaplanseaver) on May 9, 2011, 12:43 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
4 This show was so funny! It really goes to show that most television or hollywood types have no sense of humor. It is what comedy is trying so painfully to be nowadays. This and Green Acres are two of the best comedies ever. -- Submitted By: (ScottHochlander) on September 17, 2010, 2:21 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
5 Police Squad! was one of the funniest shows on TV EVER, and the only reason it didn't last more than 6 episodes is that the head of ABC programming at the time (Tony Thomopolous, 1/3 of the Unholy Triumvirate of TV Programming--the other 2/3 are Robert Iger and Peter Tortorici) was an idiot who never let any good show develop an audience (other cases in point: Taxi, Bosom Buddies). -- Submitted By: (markrabo) on September 18, 2009, 12:54 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
6 This silly but hilarious series has never jumped or boned anything. Inspired by the film, "Airplane," and predecessor to the "Naked Gun" movies, this 1982 short-lived series (only six episodes were produced). Starred Leslie Neilson as Lt. Frank Drebin (a character he would reprise in three later films), goofy Officer Norberg, (Peter Lupis of "Mission Impossible" fame), demented lab technician, Ted Olson (Ed Williams), know-it-all stoolie, Johnie (William Duell) and captain Ed Hocken (Alan North, the mayor in the 1989 film, "Lean On Me). Way ahead of its time, which would come in 1988 with the release of "The Naked Gun." -- Submitted By: (GregEichelberger) on July 15, 2009, 2:28 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
7 this show was really cool, but it wasn't on long enough. I don't remember it really well, only that they only made like a small handful of episodes. and it had a lot of sight gags that were impossible to catch, if you were watching it and doing something else at the same time. -- Submitted By: (Riley2009) on April 3, 2009, 12:43 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
