The Google doodles/animations, especially the tributes to marginally important people or events I've never heard of. The near month long World Cup animations were annoying as well, I used Yahoo search instead so I wouldn't have to look at them -- Submitted By: (John63btf) on August 25, 2014, 5:26 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
But it's by GOOGLE, though. Google knows what we want and how to implement it so nothing absolutely goes wrong. I...no. I can't even imagine how horrible those glasses are going to go. Okay, google. I think you're really trying way too hard to do things you shouldn't be doing. Searching? Fine. E-Mail? Fine. Android? Fine. But, I really think they should take a step back and stick to what they're good at doing. Or, maybe they should have stayed as a search engine. I mean, so far, they're really annoying people now with how they're handling YouTube. They can't go a day without wanting to change something around with the home site and how or what features stay or go. I cannot remove annotations anymore on YouTube for some reason. So now when you watch a video, you have to click through someone's video as they've plastered it with annotations all over to subscribe, comment, whatever. And I'm really getting tired of Google+ desperately wanting me to change my name on YouTube to my real name. When the point of registering to YouTube is to have your own screen name! Every once in a while, I get a dialogue box asking me "Which name do you want to be under?" Or "Which name do you want to sign in as?" Are you fucking kidding me, Google? This should not be trivial. Google+ is a shitty mess of a social networking site, quit trying to push it onto YouTube. Google only got so popular because people have gotten so lazy to go browse other search engines. Well, until another familiar company like Microsoft stepped in with Bing because people can only recognize so many search engines to choose from. And speaking of searching. Ever get frustrated when Google doesn't always get what you're looking for anymore. Try say, look for Skillet. The pan. Simply type in "Skillet" and guess what results will come up? Skillet, the band. Nothing wrong with the band but it's an example of how mish-mashed things have become to the point where even Google can't even get it right. So, Google is not everything it's trying to be. -- Submitted By: (Infyrin) on October 9, 2013, 4:04 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
If Google glasses become the next big thing, and everybody's wearing them, even while driving, i don't think I'd want to be out on the road.. shouldn't the states be considering laws right now about this? -- Submitted By: (stryker73) on August 6, 2013, 10:54 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Cell phones, texting, now Google glasses. Does someone in the technology industry have stock in car insurance? -- Submitted By: (Robert) on July 18, 2013, 12:24 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I just saw a news story about the newest technology: Google Glasses. Yep, they put this tiny screen on these glasses that the wearer can verbally 'command' to do everything from take pics to do searches, etc. and the results will be visible ON THE LENS. Right now the price is about $1000 so that will keep it out of many folks budget for a time. It's getting annoying enough seeing all these texters play with their sardine cans all over the place while the art of conversation seems to be evaporating but how will things be with all these 'four-eyed' Googlers running around? Oh, and does anyone else dread imagining what the ROADS while be like with all these Google Glasses folks DRIVING? 7 When you started seeing ads as the top results for the search. Also, it seems that around the same time, Google started going overboard with "Are you sure you didn't mean ___?" questions. -- Submitted By: (mjb1124) on July 22, 2010, 6:46 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

Google, it seems, has boned the fish. It has been overtaken, left standing, and not by some new startup of ultra smart MIT alumni or by the gazillions in the Microsoft development budget, but by the deeply unhip and previously discounted Yahoo. -- Submitted By: (Hikariu) on April 14, 2009, 2:48 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
