Random Topics - Ice Cream

Ice cream or ice-cream (originally iced cream) is a frozen dessert usually made from dairy products, such as milk and cream, combined with fruits or other ingredients. Most varieties contain sugar, although some are made with other sweeteners. In some cases, artificial flavorings and colorings are used in addition to (or in replacement of) the natural ingredients. This mixture is stirred slowly while cooling to prevent large ice crystals from forming; the result is a smoothly textured ice cream.

Forget ben and jerry., Gimme any of the others...Blue Bunny, Skinny Cow, Baskin/Robbins, Dreyers, Breyers,etc.etc. -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on May 2, 2016, 11:54 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Shanequia and RObert, you both are right about that flavor...I do not eat ben and jerry at all (or other political stuff.) -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on August 16, 2015, 2:25 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Ummm.. I still like cookies in cream. Why is ice cream political? Oh nevermind I don't care. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on October 10, 2011, 9:04 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
I love how Ben and Jerry's claims to be in support of Occupy Wall Street when they themselves are owned by a huge corporation. Hypocrisy... yummy! -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on October 10, 2011, 3:25 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
I admit I indulged in some Ben & Jerry's every once in a while, and I don't care where they stand in a political sense. Just enjoy the stuff and put the politics on the back burner. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on May 2, 2011, 8:07 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
My fellow BTFers aren't the ones who made ice cream political. Ben and Jerry are. We want to enjoy ice cream, not have politics (left or right) jammed down our throats. Ice cream is enjoyable, politics is not. It rips the fun out of a beloved treat. If there was a "George W Double Swirl" ice cream, then that would be injecting politics into ice cream as well. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 2, 2011, 7:43 pm - (4 votes) - Login to Vote
Ha Soggy! You made me roll on the floor laughing. I agree with you, some topics are reaching when it comes to politics. I don't really care that Ben & Jerry are deadhead liberals, I still like their ice cream and that's what matters most. I also like Baskin Robbins, Hagaan-Daz, Dairy Queen, Coldstone, local shops, Blue Bunny, you name it. Ice cream has never boned. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on May 2, 2011, 6:21 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Here we frigging go again. Does Ben & Jerry's ice cream taste bad? No? Well then, is it made by unsafe means? No? Why is it necessary to evaluate a product - especially as benign a product as ice cream - according to the political views of the producer? One would think there is hardly a subject on Earth less capable of being politicized than ice cream. Yet the person who wants to talk nonstop politics, 24/7, can always find a way to divert any subject in a political direction. I swear, I should submit the subject "Toothpicks" to BTF, just to see how many posts it takes for some fool to bring up politics. -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 2, 2011, 4:39 pm - (4 votes) - Login to Vote
I adore the stuff, but Ben and Jerry seriously sucks. -- Submitted By: (Mr.Zimpy) on January 2, 2011, 5:58 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
